Hallazgos en la radiografía digital de la columna cervical en paciente con síntomas de cervicalgia

Resumen


La cervicalgia o dolor cervical tiene muchas causas. En mucha de las ocasiones no es grave y suele ser el resultado de una sobrecarga o un sobreesfuerzo de los músculos del cuello, o de una lesión neuromuscular traumática, como el latigazo cervical. Los pacientes con cervicalgia pueden presentar limitación de la movilidad cervical, dolor cervical y/u hombros, cefalea, mareos, náuseas y discapacidad. Actualmente, el dolor cervical de representa un importante problema de salud mundial que en la mayoría de los casos responde bien a los tratamientos, pero si el dolor es intenso, prolongado o empeora, puede ser signo de una complicación más seria y debe ser investigado por el médico a través de las proyecciones radiográficas que son las más usadas en estos casos.
